What is KunstELO?

KunstELO is a Dutch digital learning environment (ELO stands for “Elektronische Leeromgeving”) designed specifically for art education in secondary schools (VMBO, HAVO, VWO, and VSO). It’s based on the Moodle platform and provides:

• Interactive art history and theory lessons

• Customizable assignments and tests

• Visual content, videos, and timelines

• Support for Dutch education standards (e.g., syllabus 2027)

For International Users:

KunstELO is primarily available in Dutch and tailored to the Dutch educational system. It is not yet openly available as an international product, but its structure can inspire similar Moodle-based platforms abroad.

🔒 Licensing & Access:

KunstELO is licensed to schools. Users (teachers/students) access content through their school account. No public license contract is available, but usage is governed by agreements with institutions and a clear privacy policy.
